Shawdesh desk:

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has postponed his planned trip to India where he was to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Elon Musk on Saturday said his trip to India has been postponed due to the company’s “heavy obligations.”

Musk, who was supposed to visit India in the last week of April, in a post on X, said “Unfortunately, very heavy Tesla obligations require that the visit to India be delayed, but I do very much look forward to visiting this year.”

Earlier this month, Musk confirmed his planned visit to India, saying he was looking forward to meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Last week, Musk, who also owns X (formerly Twitter), confirmed his meeting with Modi in India. “Looking forward to meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in India,” he had written on X.

Musk was expected to announce an investment of 2-3 billion dollars, to build a factory in India.

Musk had met PM Modi during the Indian PM’s visit to the United States in June last year. The Tesla chief had discussed PM Modi his plans to foray into the Indian market and setting up the much-anticipated factory.
